What's the most exciting project you've worked on so far?
Fresh out of college, I was sent to Baddi, (tough terrain and tougher challenges) to start up one of the most complex manufacturing units within P&G completely from scratch. I was provided with 40 brand new technicians with an average work experience of 3-4 months to support me. Every day, it seemed we were dealing with completely new processes, infrastructure and environmental issues. I remember I hardly took a day off from work in the first year and a half, fearing I would miss out on the excitement. Now the start up is completed and the unit is thriving. This was truly a once in a lifetime experience that will take me a lifetime to forget.
How would you describe P&G's work environment and culture?
P&G is very supportive and flexible. After working for three years, I ran into some health problems and my manager sent me straight home for over a month with no questions asked and no phone calls from work. Can you imagine this from any other company? I can't.
How would you describe your career so far?
I have grown tremendously during my time with P&G. All the tough theories and the management strategies that I read in college have to come to life for me here. P&G is like a university where you learn something new every day. And above all, I have learned that when your organization has the same purpose and breathes the same values that you do, nothing and I mean absolutely nothing, can stop you.
